The heading of the forthcoming ABBA
MANIA-tour is “The final tour” –
why?
ABBA
MANIA, probably the most successful ABBA concert-show
in the world is touring this and next year through
Germany and Austria. The name of the tour is “the
FINAL TOUR”.
Why “the FINAL TOUR”? Does this mean,
ABBA MANIA is preparing its farewell-tour?
Definitely
not!
ABBA MANIA has had such a great public success
because of the exiting and unique authenticity
of its performance on stage. No show gets ABBA
closer than ABBA MANIA.
For that reason, ABBA MANIA is trying to create
a relationship with the real, incomparable history
of the four Swedes. ABBA MANIA’s “the
FINAL TOUR” is therefore a reference to
ABBA and its “The final Album”. There
you can see the creativity of the producers: they
have created a fictional tour on the motto of
that album – which picks out the “final”
as a central theme in a very amusing way.
Now you understand why we gave the tour that name,
25 years after the breakup of the Swedish original
– the reason is strictly artistic: it is
the “farewell tour that ABBA was not able
to give” – and not the farewell tour
of the ABBA MANIA musical!
Perhaps
some day there might be a farewell tour of ABBA
MANIA but certainly not as long as, tour after
tour, hundreds of thousands of fans want to enjoy
the firework of highlights of the glamorous band
that is happening once per year in their cities.
Many
a time, people are asking, why the ABBA MANIA
show is touring through Germany and Austria with
a double cast of characters.
We have to consider first that every big concert-show
or musical has two or several casts who are able
to perform the artistic programme on stage.
Also in the case of ABBA MANIA’s forthcoming
tour, two different casts of characters will offer
the show. The reason is simply that we do not
want to disappoint the enormous expectations of
our fans.
Sometimes,
concerned visitors of our show are asking us whether
the quality of the two casts is really on the
same high level.
Well, we want to assure our fans that they absolutely
don’t need to worry.
The producers of ABBA MANIA are selecting every
cast according to the same quality levels, making
the same high demands on any member of the group.
Any difference of quality is thereby avoided.
The different casts are thus on the same high
level both regarding their performance and their
presentation to the public and are touring together.
A tour through almost 60 cities represents a technical
and logistic challenge which an outside observer
might possibly not be able to estimate. The handling
has to be checked every day and to be adapted
to quite different conditions. It is unfortunately
not possible, for that reason, to name in advance
the members of the cast that are going to perform
in a city.

MANIA started its new tour successfully
The ABBA MANIA trucks are rolling
again. On December 26th the ABBA MANIA Greatest
Hits Tour 2005-2006 started parallel in two venues,
the Hofer Freiheitshalle and the Chemnitzer Stadthalle.
More than 2.000 fans celebrated the renewed ABBA
MANIA show and the songs which were recently integrated
into the show. The new program is on tour all
over in Germany until February 3rd. Because of
the many requests ABBA MANIA is touring with two
complete casts. End of January sees a little but
fine series of gigs in France and Belgium. Paris´world
famous venue Olympia is one of the stations of
ABBA MANIA in France. You can find more about

»Yes I will!« - A proposal
of marriage at the ABBA MANIA show
A couple willing to marry each other
used the concert in Stuttgart´s Liederhalle
to promise the marriage in public and embedded
in the music of Bjoern and Benny. More about this

on sale now!
From
now on you can get the ABBA MANIA „Live
Recording“ on CD, which was recorded in
Alsdorf´s Stadthalle, at the merchandising
points during the tour. Fifteen of the biggest
ABBA hits can be heard in their live version sung
by ABBA MANIA.
"ABBA
MANIA" on RTL Deutschland
On December 3, 20.15h ABBA MANIA
will be guests on the appropriately named "ABBA
MANIA" show on RTL Deutschland. ABBA MANIA
will be on stage along with Michelle Hunziker,
Samantha Fox, the boy-group US5, Max Raabe and
his Palace Orchestra, Sydney Youngblood and many
other celebrities of the German music and television
scene, but they will be the only act in this show
to sing two songs.
ABBA MANIA DEBUTS IN HUNGARY
ABBA MANIA was celebrated enthusiastically at
Budapest.
In two sold out shows ABBA MANIA fascinated an
expectant audience at the convention center in
Budapest at the18th and 19th of October.
The thrill gave way to ecstatic enthusiasm shortly
– after a few songs – and a big party
started.

ABBA MANIA mobile
You can experience ABBA MANIA not
only in concert halls all over europe, but also
on the motorway now.
A big truck was made a tour-truck. On its side
panels the ABBA MANIA logo and the url “www.abbamania-europe.com”
flaunts well visible and proudly glaring.
Granted, the truck can not (yet) sing or perform,
we are still working on that, of course open-ended.

PERFORMANCE IN SLOVENIA
ABBA MANIA boundless. The enthusiasm
of the audience of ABBA MANIA all over the world
aroused the interest of Slovenian concert organisers.
In co-operation with the German partner Semmel
Concerts the show will not only perform in Maribor
(16th of November - Dvorana Tabor) and in Ljubljana
(17th of November - Hala Tivoli) but will also
have a show performance on the Slovenian TV at
the 7th of November.

ABBA MANIA rules over Russia
You cannot roll back the big interest
on ABBA MANIA all over the world. So we celebrate
soon the “Best ABBA Concert Since ABBA”
for the very first time in Russia.
On 14th of December ABBA MANIA is going to start
an overwhelming triumph in the Kremlin Palace
in Moscow – one of the newest concert halls
of Russia.
There is already an enormous run on the ticket
agencies around Moscow.
The hall will be sold out and the artists together
with the ABBA MANIA - Crew is on edge for the
emotions of the famous “Russian soul”
of the expected 4000 visitors.

Triumph in Slovenia
In
Maribor and Ljubljana, the biggest cities of Slovenia,
Dvorana Tabor Hall and Hala Tivoli Hall –
by the way the biggest halls of the countries
– were completely sold out.
3.500
visitors in Maribor just as 5.000 in Ljubljana
were absolutely enthusiastic about the performance,
not only because the most famous children chorus
has been on stage as well.
The
ABBA MANIA Tourtruck, legendary vehicle during
the first weeks, became the great attraction,
because he drove – published by a radio
station – through the streets in order to
make known the ABBA MANIA concerts in the evening. |
